About

During times of heightened political angst, do social norms reflect historical aestheticism or is artistic work driving supra-communal change and conflict?

The Diele Museum wrestles with this fundamental question in each exhibition. Guided by an inter-generational approach and sensitivity towards modernist demands, our mission is to provoke thought through identity-based diminutive architecture.

Conceptualized for years, we broke ground in 2020 following a generous endowment and realization of available fabrication capacity. Our cross-disciplinary team – veterans in curatorial affairs, design, education and outreach, mechanical engineering, and knowledge management – immediately launched into action. With minimal delay, the Diele Museum debuted displays that creatively challenge the intersection of abstract representation and spacial understanding.

Vertical utilitarianism meets absurdist exposition.
